Coming back from Eel Pie Island, we accidentally stumbled upon these huge statues frolicking in a pond filled with water lillies. This photo of Kevin shows the scale (and not even of the whole thing): York House is  “statley home” of a courtier to King Charles the 1st, currently used as council offices and home to this ridiculous garden. It is next door to the Orleans House, the home to one of King Charles the 2nd’s lady friends. History! The home also featured this sunken garden: I’d love to live in Twickenham and go to that park everyday.
